Ruhunu Hopper Mixture 400 g
- Batter Preparation:
Mix the Hopper Mixture: Follow the package instructions to combine the Ruhunu Hopper Mixture with the correct amount of water to form a smooth batter.
Fermentation: Allow the batter to ferment for several hours or overnight in a warm place. This process is essential for achieving the characteristic texture and flavour of hoppers.
Cooking Hoppers:
Preheat the Hopper Pan: Use a traditional hopper pan or a small, wok-shaped pan. Preheat the pan over medium heat.
Grease the Pan: Lightly grease the pan with oil using a paper towel or brush.
Pour the Batter: Pour a ladleful of batter into the pan and swirl it around to coat the sides, forming a bowl shape.
Cook: Cover the pan with a lid and cook for a few minutes until the edges are crispy and the center is cooked through.
Remove: Use a spatula to gently remove the hopper from the pan.
